Team Tesoro upgraded and renovated a 1950’s era, 52,000 square-foot, three-story barracks. The design featured spacious sleeping areas, combination restroom/showers, storage rooms, and common areas. The scope included new wood and metal doors, casework, CMU block walls with custom wall finishes, accessories, heating, cooling, lighting, power, communications, and fire protection systems, along with DOD anti-terrorism/force protection measures.

This project, which was completed four months ahead of schedule, was cited by the client as the quality standard for other projects at Fort Eustis.

Team Tesoro upgraded and renovated this 50,000 square-foot, three-story barracks used by soldiers for 16 weeks of advanced training following basic training. The work included demolition of existing vinyl composition tile (VCT) flooring, acoustical tile ceilings, carpet, windows, and steel cabinetry. 

New construction consisted of windows, wood doors, metal doors, CMU block walls, painting, shower rooms, special wall finishes, carpet, VCT flooring, display boards, display cabinets, postal specialties, and telephone room.  New power distribution, lighting systems, fire alarm system, mechanical system, and new plumbing were also included in the renovations. 

This project was completed six weeks ahead of schedule.
