Munitions Storage Area Projects

Langley Air Force Base, Virginia

 

This task order, awarded under the Langley Air Force Base Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC), included four separate projects in the Munitions Storage Area. Scopes of work included:
Repair MAC Pad Facility

Selective demolition of existing roof, siding and amenities of Building 1062, including doors, louvers, and concrete pads and ramps. Repair work included new pre-finished roofing and siding panels, overhead doors, personnel doors, insulation, heating, electrical, and lighting. New concrete pads were also constructed.

Construct Munitions Storage Facility

Construction of a new pre-engineered metal building with concrete slab on grade and foundations, pre-finished metal roofing and siding panels, overhead doors, personnel doors, and associated electrical work.

Construct AGE/MX Storage

Construction of a new pre-engineered metal building with concrete slab on grade and foundations, pre-finished metal roofing and siding panels, overhead doors, personnel doors, and associated electrical work.

Construct Covered Igloo Storage Facility

Construction of a new earth covered pre-engineered munitions storage igloo with lighting, electrical wiring, and lightning protection.
