This project converted 86,000 square feet of an existing 60-plus-year-old warehouse and administrative space into a state-of-the-art regional headquarters and service center for the worldwide Navy-Marine Corps Intranet. The Design-Build Team was led by Fluor Federal Services as the Construction Manager, and included Tesoro Corporation as General Contractor and Clark Nexsen as the designer.

The scope included hazardous material abatement, demolition, construction, alteration, and repair. Architectural, mechanical, electrical, communications, and fire protection system upgrades were required to support this 300

person network help desk and operations center.

This was a fast track, design-build project requiring multiple shifts to meet the client’s aggressive schedule. The team met the initial operational capability in just four months, and full operational capability in nine months.
