This project first involved the complete demolition of the existing traditional, unseen-by-the-public kitchen at the Founder’s Inn Swan Terrace Restaurant. We then transformed it into a more open-air, scenic style kitchen. Before construction could begin, erection of a temporary wall was needed to segregate the work area from public view. A select group of Tesoro employees working different shifts, 36 hours straight, accomplished this task. This minimized restaurant down time and allowed the Swan Terrace to remain in operation during the entire construction period.

Scope of work included installation of wall and soffit systems, specialized ductwork and insulation, and electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems; relocation of sprinkler piping; reconfiguration of grease trapping exhaust hoods; and installation of fire alarm and suppression systems. In addition, high quality finish materials were used such as premium ceramic wall tile, a quartz epoxy flooring system, granite countertops, and matching heart pine wood panels, flooring, casework, and trim.
