Willis (Jerry) G. Newton, P.E.
Jerry joined Tesoro in 2000. He currently manages the execution of all Navy-funded projects within the Hampton Roads region and supervises assigned project managers and support staff.
Jerry began his tenure with Tesoro as a Project Manager. Over the course of several years, he had the opportunity to work on a variety of design-bid-build and design-build construction projects for various federal agencies and private companies. In 2005, Jerry rose to the Navy Program Manager position and became a Vice President later that year.
Jerry has over 35 years of construction, engineering and facilities management experience. He began his professional life as an officer of the Navy Civil Engineer Corps where he held a variety of leadership and management positions. While in the Navy, he was a Warranted Contracting Officer. For the past 16 years, he has held positions for several private sector companies managing construction projects and facilities.
