SBA Success Story |
Tesoro
Corporation, a General Contractor incorporated in Virginia in
June 1997, is a minority-owned business certified in Virginia,
providing its customers with responsive high-quality
Construction, Project Management, and Environmental Services at
a reasonable price.
The firm is a unique General Contractor - a contractor whose
corporate philosophy is based on the four cornerstones of
Integrity, Responsiveness, Experience and Professionalism. It
believes its commitment to this philosophy has allowed it to
grow from a small, five-person company in June of 1997, to one
with over 100 employees in five years. The Tesoro team is fully
committed to exceeding its customers’ expectations. Tesoro
listens to their concerns, treats them with respect, and strives
to delight them in all aspects of their projects.
Tesoro’s projects involve fast track, high-visibility
renovation and new construction of facilities under the scrutiny
of senior government officials, architects, and private sector
owners. Its federal clients include the Navy, Coast Guard, Air
Force, Army, National Guard, NASA, NOAA, and GSA. The firm has
also worked for local governments, other general contractors,
and selected commercial clients throughout Virginia.
Tesoro believes that "Our strengths lie in our
people." With a senior staff of 13 degreed professional
engineers, including 5 registered professional engineers, its
team is as professional, responsive, and capable as that of any
general contractor in Hampton Roads.
The Tesoro corporate philosophy places as much importance on the
quality of its skilled trades personnel as its degreed
professionals. With an experienced cadre of superintendents,
mechanics, and skilled laborers who are not only technically
competent, but flexible, enthusiastic and imaginative, they get
the job done and do it well. The result is frequent repeat
business opportunities with its established client base which is
evidenced by rapid annual growth in revenues.
Tesoro, Inc. also recently won the top award at the Virginia
Chamber of Commerce’s Fantastic Fifty Award Banquet.
